About Malaga, Spain

More Malaga Photos
Bidding to be the European capital of culture in 2016, Malaga is an interesting mixture of sun, sea, sand, attractions and nightlife.

This city is the second biggest in Andalusia after Seville, and has a population of almost 600,000. During the summer months, tourists flock here to sample the beautiful beaches and local colour.

Settlements here date back to around 1,000 BC, and the city has a long history influenced by various different cultures from the Moorish to the old Catholic monarchs of Spain.

Add to this the local gastronomical flair, and the large number of bars and clubs, it's not hard to see why Malaga is a popular destination.
